Burning Man aerialists

The Heron crane periodically appears and disappears amidst a Playa dust waves. Installation represents part of pre-historic bird and part oil derrick, its head moves slowly up and down. There are aerialists climbing and hanging from it with deliberate grace. At night its wings spread with fire, illuminating the tall skeletal structure. The Heron is a Triassic playground, at once natural and constructed, kinetic yet open to interaction on many levels.
